Scoring The GED Exam
The GED Exam is graded on a standard scale score. The maximum score on each of the five sections is 800. A minimum of 410 must be scored on each of the five sections of the exam to pass but there must be an average of 450 on all five sections to receive the Florida High School Diploma. A total of 2250 points is needed to pass the exam but you may not have a score lower than 410 on each of the five exams.

2012 GED Test
The GED test is changing in 2012. You will not be able to merge the scores from the present GED test with the 2012 test. To earn your high school diploma before 2012, you must have a total of 2250 points and pass all five parts of the exam before December 2011.
