Registration and GED Test Information

When registering for ESOL or GED classes, we can accept any valid photo ID. These sources of identification include the following: Florida ID, Florida Driver's License, Passport, Permanent Resident Card, Work Authorization Card, Alien Registration Foreign Embassy ID or a valid Palm Beach County School ID. In order to take the actual GED examination or a GED pretest, the student must provide any government picture ID.


The Adult Education Center is located at 2161 North Military Trail, north of Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida. AEC has morning, afternoon, and evening classes with open registration year round (testing restrictions apply). Our phone number is (561) 616-7800 and our fax is (561) 616-7850

Registration Now! 

We have now started pre-registration for the winter term which starts in January. We have open enrollment (testing restrictions apply) but to reserve the session you need, come to the main office and start the registration process now.

Home Health Aide Program - HHA

On December 18, our first HHA class graduated. The class consisted of 15 students taught by a registered nurse with several supporting staff members. The class was taught in a fully equipped medical classroom complete with hospital beds and other medical devices. Congratulations to all of our new HHA graduates! 

2019 GED Graduation Ceremony

The School District of Palm Beach County, Adult and Community Education will honor students that will earn their GED during the 2018-2019 school year. To attend the graduation ceremony, please complete this registration form.

Free Immunizations

In the 2018-2019 school year, Florida Health is offering HIV and STD screenings to AEC students on the second Thursday every other month - September, November, January, March, May and July.

There are occasionally special immunization events like the Flu Only Event, which are given several times a year.

Student Photo IDs

Photo identification cards are taken everyday in the media center or the cafeteria. Students must wear their IDs at all times to enter the campus and class.

International Friendship patchheart

Our 2018 International Friendship Celebration (IFC) was held on Wednesday, March 14th. It was a celebration of diverse cultures that showcased a parade of flags, folk dancing, and indoor and outdoor games. View our new IFC Vodcast here.

GED/ABE Promotion Ceremony

Our GED/ABE promotion ceremony was held December 11 (twice yearly). Our students received their certificates on stage and had their photos taken. A student is promoted when they post-test and advance to the next class level. We would like to extend our congratulations to all of the students and to the faculty for making success possible.

The AEC is a Palm Beach County public school. All Palm Beach County School Employees must be cleared through the district office on Forest Hill Boulevard. The clearing process includes finger printing, certification and other required documentation and processes.
